SWTJC partners with chamber of commerce and US Rep. Pete Gallego for job fair

Southwest Texas Junior College partnered with the Uvalde Area Chamber of Commerce and the office of Congressman Pete Gallego to host a job fair on April 29 in the MSC Ballroom.

Representatives from 35 federal and state agencies along with local businesses were on hand providing information for job seekers from Uvalde and the surrounding areas.

“It went amazingly well, and we were very happy with such a large turn out of local residents and students,” said Matthew Hall, Gallego Field Representative.

Through a spokesperson, Congressman Pete Gallego thanked SWTJC President, Dr. Hector Gonzales and Olivia Rish, Executive Director of the Uvalde Area Chamber of Commerce for their assistance in making this a successful event.
